The Rotary Club of Carrizozo may be a small club but they carry a powerfil punch! They have so much going on helping their community. They sponsored a girl for RYLA this year and the feedback they recieved was that she had a terriffic time. The club gives out three scholarships to graduating seniors from Carrizozo High School every year. They also hang 50 American flags for over 10 holidays. I had such a good time visiting the Carrizozo Rotary Club and they will have another fantastic year!

Rotary Club of Gallup
The Rotary Club of Gallup has so many great plans for this year. They will once again hold their Annual Speakers Banquet. This event draws over 500 people and the proceeds go to help fund scholarships for the local schools. They are also holding a blood drive in early August. In late August, they will hold the Gallup Rotary Road Rally. The club also provides "Baskets of Brotherhood", which is food baskets filled with Thanksgiving food for the needy. It was great to see everyone again and I know they will have a great year!

GIRLS AND BOYS RYLA
It seemed like yesterday that I was a camper at RYLA. Vsiting both the Girls and Boys RYLA this week brought back so many wonderful memories. Girls RYLA had 105 campers! Wow, were they pumped up and ready to go!! The Boys RYLA had over 70 attendees and they are looking forward to an awesome experience. Michele and I were so impressed with all the youngsters! This truly validates my belief in the new 5th Avenue of Service. These youngsters are truly the future of Rotary! A very special "thank you" to all the Rotary volunteers who gave of their time and talents during RYLA. You are making a huge difference in young people's lives.
