Rotary Club of Ft. Stockton Cruise Fundraiser

Michele and I were invited by President Terry Whigham of the Rotary Club of Ft. Stockton to attend their annual Cruise Fundraiser this past weekend. More than five hundred people attended and danced the night away! The club prepared all the food and it was SO good! The club uses the funds raised to support many projects in their community. Thank you so much to ALL the members of the Rotary Club of Ft. Stockton for making us feel so welcomed!! Look forward to my official visit in November!

Rotary Club of White Sands (Alamogordo)

President Herb Delone is doing an excellent job in keeping the club focused and accomplishing so much! They have already held one blood drive and 124 people donated blood on behalf of the club. They have two more blood drives planned! WAY TO GO! The club received a simplified grant for clothes and school supplies for under-privileged children, planted more than fifty trees and placed two big Rotary signs along the road by the trees. The club also participates in the wine festival and Bridges for Prosperity project and holds a golf tournament in April to raise funds. Wonderful club that is making a difference!

A very special "thank you" to President Mike Shinabery who gave AG Robin French and me a tour of the Space Museum. We had such a good time. The Rotary Club of Alamogordo is busy with the wine festival, a very active Interact Club, participating in the Bridges to Prosperity project, using a simplified grant for their child I.D. program and sponsoring the Rotary Little League. The club also raises a lot of money through an auction held within the club and cooking food for Fountain Gate Childrens Home. I was honored to participate in awarding a Paul Harris Fellowship!

Rotary Club of Tularosa

The Rotary Club of Tularosa has so many projects going! What an impact they are making in their community! They provide two scholarships to high school seniors, helped refurbish the local fire station with a matching grant, provided dictionaries to all fifth graders in both Tularosa and Mascelaro, donate to the Tularosa Food Bank, sponsor a Cub Scout Pack, and that is just to mention a few things they are doing! Way to keep the members focused President Lou Deming! Keep up the good work!
