O.V. #49 - RC of El Paso Franklin Mountains 11-18-10

RC of El Paso Franklin Mountains through the leadership of their President Cyndee Orr are on an upward path.  This club has a lot of district leadership in its membership.  They do great things and I was able to meet several of their new members.  Their new meeting place on the college campus should also be a great launch point for membership through the clubs connection to the campus' teachers.  I am looking forward to seeing where this club goes over the next 12 months.  They have all the tools and talent.  Thank you guys for dinner and great hospitality.

O.V #48 - RC of El Paso 11-18-10

WOW!  What a great reception from these folks.  The last of my 'large' club visits, the 220 member RC El Paso, has been steeped in tradition for 96 years and going strong.  Adjustments are going to be made to ensure this club stays vibrant into the future through President Herb's leadership.  A forward thinker and the person who put the original organizational structure concept behind what has now become Rotary's flagship PolioPlus Program, Herb has got it together and it all starts with his extreme humility which I admire.  We inducted 6 new members and 2 Paul Harris' this day.  and THANK YOU to all of the Rotary clubs in El Paso for all pitching in for my Rotary boots.  Totally unexpected and an awesome gift.  I am so thankful......

O.V. #47 - RC of Las Cruces Mesilla Valley 11-18-10

RC Mesilla Valley is a great breakfast club.  Lots of district leadership is generated from this group, including DGN Mark Glenn.  President Bernadine is a hard worker and she has a great group around her to make things happen.  Good club to get a make up at.  Thank you former NM State Governor Garrey Carruthers (1987-1991) for the open forum kind words!
