Rotary Club of Anthony

The Rotary Club of Anthony is such a fun club and I really enjoyed my visit!  President Linda Woodward is doing a wonderful job and the club is responding!  The club is involved in the Anthony Youth Farm Project in conjunction with the Don't Meth With Us project, helping youth to stay off drugs and out of trouble.  They received a simplified grant from the District to assist them.  The Rotary Club of Anthony also has a great Literacy Project bringing books to their community, not just for youth but for all who love the power of reading.  They also have a Adoption Awareness Picnic that helps honor children who are in foster care in the State of New Mexico.  The club holds a Feed Them For A Week Project during the Christmas season in conjunction with the Anthony Texas Police Department and the Community Relations Board.  This may be a small club, but they make a HUGE impact in their Community!!

Rotary Club of Las Cruces-Mesilla Valley

Even though this club meets at 6:45 AM, they are energized and getting things done!  A special "thank you" to DGE Mark Glenn (this is his home club) for his support during my club visit.  I truly enjoyed seeing Rotarians Garrey Carruthers and Sharon Jones who are members of the Rotary Club of Las Cruces-Mesilla Valley, but were members of my club several years back.  It was fun catching up on old times!

Las Cruces Reception

A very special "thank you" to Rotary Club of Las Cruces President Ross Ramsey and his wife Christine for putting together a wonderful reception for me in Las Cruces.  All three Rotary Clubs in Las Cruces were invited, as well as the Rotary Club of Anthony.  The setting was so beautiful and the Rotarians and spouses who attended had such a wonderful time!  We spent the evening getting to know each other and I'm truly amazed at how many projects these clubs do for their community!!

Rotary Club of Las Cruces

The Rotary Club of Las Cruces has so many wonderful things going on!  President Ross Ramsey has this club focused and they have set their goals high!  The club plants 173 shrubs along medians in Las Cruces, participates in the Don't Meth With Us program, has a new website and received a grant from the district for the Peace Village of Las Cruces. The club is also very active with RYLA.  They sent 3 boys and 3 girls this year!! The Rotary Club of Las Cruces also awards a $500 scholarship to each student from the five high schools in the area, and this is just to mention a few things they do.  What a wonderful club!!  I truly enjoyed my visit.
