Pictures from 'The Track' 4/1/11

Rotarian Shane L., V E R Y generous guy.  He invited me to go for a ride at the track in his Corvette ZR1, one of the fastest production Corvette's made.  PDG Rick Akins assisted by going first!  What a great gift to Rick and I to be able to do this.  Topped out at a little less than 185.

Shane is a SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) driving instructor and is well versed on the track.. Shane was very good about sharing the how's and why's to make one comfortable with what truly is an adrenaline rush.  I can totally see why does so well with the kids at RYLA.  The car, made up of mostly carbon fiber, is a beast.  I have the videos in the post below this one.  What a great way to start the month.....

I did have my semi annual cardiology appt. with Dr. Nair (Rotarian John Paruki's doctor as well).  They didn't see anything in the tape, so although I got my heart rate up and pushed a solid 1.0g at least, my 'device' didn't even notice!  He gave me a clear bill of health once again btw and THANK GOD!  I am heading into DCon at full strength.....

Another awesome fundraiser with live/silent auctions, and a slew of magicians.  Over 400 people in attendance and over $60k clear raised.  Thank you all for including me on this.....
