4 am came pretty early, it was 6 when I got on the road, pretty straight shot from ROS to Melrose, then Tucumcari, Logan, Nara Visa, and up to Clayton. 4 hours city to city (5 doing speed limit). First stop was a gas station, second stop was Clayton Lake State Park and specifically the dinosaur tracks.... Definetely worth the time to drive the 13 miles north of town to see. An nice inland reservoir that is barely visible on most maps and the rock layer where the tracks can be found.
