Rotary Club of Roswell

I met so many wonderful Rotarians at the Rotary Club of Roswell and they know how to have fun!  President Colt Gipson is hilarious, but is keeping the club focused on his goals for the year.  The club gives 3 $1,500 scholarships to graduating seniors and participates with the other two Roswell Rotary Clubs with the Sun Classic golf tournament.  They also participate in the Guatemala and Bridges for Prosperity projects. The Rotary Club of Roswell sent five students to RYLA and has assisted with the GSE team.  The club also cleans the highway twice a year.  I'm really excited to see how much this club is doing for the community of Roswell!!

Having fun at the Board Meeting!

Three Roswell Rotary Clubs Welcoming Reception

A "VERY SPECIAL" thank you to President Colt Gibson of the Rotary Club of Roswell and his wife Charlotte for hosting a welcoming reception for me with all three Roswell Rotary clubs at their beautiful home.  We had such a wonderful time in Rotary Fellowship!  The food was excellent and the cake they made was delicious!  I would also like to thank Assistant Governor Sheryl Saavedra who worked so hard to make sure my stay in Roswell went without any problems.  I'm so glad she is a part of our District Leadership Team!

The cake was SO good!!

Rotary Club of Roswell Pecos Valley

What a dynamic club full of energy and enthusiasm!  President Nicole Wieser is doing a wonderful job leading this club and keeping them focused.  The Rotary Club of Roswell Pecos Valley participates with the other 2 Roswell Rotary Clubs in the Sun Classic golf tournament.  They are active in the 4 Way Test Essay contest and youth exchange.  They provide four $1,000 Joanne Jaramillo Memorial scholarships to graduating seniors and give big teddy bears to hospitalized children with their Santa Program.  The club also buys Walmart gift cards and gives them to abused senior citizens in the community, and they also help the battered women's shelter.  They are busy!

Rotary Club of Artesia

The Rotary Club of Artesia may be small in numbers but they make up the difference in giving back to the community.  President Paul Smith has set some wonderful goals for the year and I know they will achieve them.  The club provides dictionaries to all 3rd grade students in Artesia. Also, they provide a scholarship to a graduating senior and hold a pancake breakfast for all the seniors.  They are currently working on a large Casino Night fund raiser.  Great job Rotary Club of Artesia!

Rotary Club of Roswell Sunrise

Hard to get up and about for a 7 AM Rotary meeting, but this club will sure wake you up when you get there!  A very energetic group of Rotarians who are making a difference in Roswell!  The club holds an annual tennis tournament that raises a lot of money to help veterans.  They participate with the other two Roswell Rotary Clubs in the Sun Classic Golf Tournament.  The club holds food drives that have gathered over 8.5 tons of food that is given to Harvest Ministries.  They also have a student of the month program.  President Kurt Gass is a true leader with a vision!
